MOTOROLA recently added two more models – the W230 music phone and the entry-level W181, to its new phone lineup.
The quadband candybar W230 comes with a dedicated music key, microSD card support and built-in FM radio with Radio Data System (RDS), which displays the name of the artiste, song title and genre. The function also allows users to record their favourite tunes, which can then be used as the phone’s alarm.
The W230 (RM299) comes equipped with the company’s proprietary CrystalTalk technology to reduce background noise during calls. It has a rated talktime of nine hours and standby time of up to 440 hours.
The entry-level W181 ships with similar features, including quadband support, FM radio and CrystalkTalk technology.
However, there is no external memory card slot so users have to rely solely on the 70KB of on-board memory to store all their data.
As far as battery life is concerned, the W181 (RM199) has a rated talktime of 10 hours and standby time of 465 hours.
